Top USA | Elden Ring: Nightreign leads May sales; Check out the full rank!

Market analyst Matt Pistella released the US game sales data for May 2025, and the highlight was Elden Ring: Nightreign, from FromSoftware.

The title premiered directly at the top of the list, surpassing Doom: The Dark Ages, and is already the 11th best -selling game of the year so far. Other highlights of the month include Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017), who jumped from 135 to 14th position, and the excellent continuous performance of Forza Horizon 5 since its arrival at PS5 – ensuring 3rd place in the monthly ranking.

According to Piscatella, Elden Ring: Nightreign was the game with the largest recipe of May in the three main systems: PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Already Doom: The Dark Ages took second place on PlayStation and PC, while on Xbox finished third, behind The Elder Scrolls online.

Regarding hardware, the PlayStation 5 was the most sold console of May in units and also the one that generated the largest revenue. Sony’s console recorded 2% growth compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, Xbox Series dropped 30%, while Nintendo Switch fell by 44%.
