Limited Run Games, a premium publisher of physical and digital games, announced the opening of the long-awaited doom pre-sale, which arrives in the physical cartridge for use in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

To celebrate this historical release, Limited Run Games is also pleased to announce the pre-sale of SNES-compatible Rumble Tech control, bringing vibration technology to SNE games for the first time.

Leading the legendary programmer Randal Linden, who worked on Doom’s first version of SNES in 1995, this improved version is not just a relaunch. Determined to live up to the iconic shooter that gave rise to the modern FPS, this new version expands the original with several unpublished features.

Limited Run

Created on a fully new and tailor -made plate for this project, the Limited Run Games version of Doom for Super Nintendo significantly improves performance in a way that SNES fans will barely believe it is possible.

Limited Run restored Doom’s entire experience, including the four episodes, highlighting ‘Thy Flesh Consumed’, originally released in 1995 on the PC as part of The Ultimate Doom. What’s more, this edition also features stages that were left out at the time due to technical limitations, adding five new maps: E1M6, E2M2, E2M5, E2M7 and E3M5, offering the full experience of Doom in SNES for the first time.

In addition to improved performance and restored levels, doom now supports circle-strife, resurgence of monsters on Nightmare difficulty, presence of the dreaded translucent Spectre monster, Full-Motion Video and much more.

Players will notice a new player of songs to relive the iconic soundtrack, title screens and high quality score, as well as a phase selection menu with password system, allowing you to explore doom the way they prefer.

This edition will come with two versions: Standard and collector, with pre-sale released on 11/07/2025.
