Capcom today announced a partnership with Aniplex to expand its Resident Evil franchise, bringing a new game entirely made for mobile devices.
Titled Resident Evil: Survival Unit, this new title in the Capcom franchise will be a real-time strategy game, which is being co-developed by Aniplex and JOYCITY. The game is scheduled to arrive on iOS and Android.
The official statement says:
“Resident Evil: Survival Unit offers a fresh take on the beloved franchise, reimagining the survival horror universe as a real-time strategy experience optimized for mobile platforms, iOS and Android. The game is designed to appeal to both longtime fans and new players alike.”
A presentation will be held on July 10th to officially reveal the game.
