Brazilian developer and publisher Epopeia Games recently revealed that version 1.0 of Gaucho and the Grassland , its adventure game with farming simulation elements, will be released on Steam on July 16 , with a 15% discount for the first two weeks .
Gaucho and the Grassland is a cozy adventure where the player lives like a true “Latin cowboy”, exploring vast pampas, cozy mountains, serene beaches and even a magical world. The mission? Help locals and mystical beings transform the world into a more harmonious place.
Rodrigo Moreira, Designer and co-founder of Epopeia Games, commented:
“Zelda has always brought us great adventures, without a doubt, but it has also shown its more welcoming side — moments of contemplation, charismatic characters and charming visuals like in the remake of Link’s Awakening .
At first, it wasn’t our intention to create a ‘Zelda with farming elements’, but we soon saw that this combination made sense and had a lot of potential.”

- Animal Interaction: Lasso cows, sheep and oxen, care for them and lead them around the scene.

- Mystical Character: A mysterious cowboy guides the player through the magical world, revealing new layers of the story.
Epopeia Games is a Brazilian developer with several award-nominated titles, including the national indie hit Mullet MadJack , released in 2024. Now, the studio promises to innovate the farm genre with Gaucho and the Grassland , winner of the “Best Game Pitch from Regional Associations” award at the BIG Festival 2022, in São Paulo.
Gaucho and the Grassland will initially launch on PC in 2025, with future plans to also come to Xbox , Nintendo Switch , and PlayStation 4/5 .
