In a completely unexpected move, Helldivers 2 was announced for Xbox this week. The game arrives on Xbox Series X|S on August 26, 2025 , with pre-orders now available: R$229.90 for the standard edition and R$340.00 for the Super Citizen Edition .
For those who were hoping to see the title also in the Game Pass catalog , the chances seem slim for now. On the game’s official Discord, Arrowhead’s community manager stated that there are no plans to release the game on the service .
When responding to a user who suggested the game would be coming to Game Pass, he was blunt: “Definitely not. No plans to bring it to Game Pass.”
Another point that disappointed part of the community was the confirmation that there will be no shared progress . According to the manager, it will not be possible to transfer items between platforms , frustrating those who intended to continue their progress on Xbox after playing on PC or PS5.
It’s worth noting that progress sharing was previously not available between PC and PlayStation 5, although co-founder Johan Pilestedt previously said there were plans to implement the feature in the future. However, despite expectations that this would happen alongside the Xbox launch, that won’t be the case — at least for now .
