Peak is a new cooperative indie climbing game developed by Landcrab (a collaboration between publishers Aggro Crab and Landfall), which has quickly become a phenomenon among the Steam audience . The title offers a chaotic, collaborative and procedural experience, with maps that change daily, which makes the gameplay quite diverse. Peak also features character customization and mod support, in addition to affordable requirements and a very attractive price, as it costs only R$ 23.99 on Steam.

History of Peak

While Peak’s main focus is on gameplay, it also has a subtle narrative that is told in an experimental way — without dialogue or elaborate cutscenes. Players take on the role of scouts stranded on an island after a plane crash. Now, the only way to escape is to reach the top of a treacherous mountain. This mission requires teamwork to be completed successfully.

Peak Gameplay

Peak’s gameplay is physics-based, allowing up to four players to scale steep and challenging vertical terrain. The maps are comprised of four distinct biomes, ranging from tropical ruins to icy peaks—each with unique obstacles and environmental hazards, such as thorny plants and slippery surfaces.

Therefore, it is essential to coordinate actions precisely, in addition to using ropes, climbing equipment and even sharing food found on the map to recover health and stamina. An important detail is that the map changes every 24 hours, offering new climbs, daily challenges and multiple opportunities to reach the summit.

Cosmetics and mods for customization

Peak features a variety of unlockable cosmetic items throughout the game, including badges, ribbons, and character skins. In addition, the community has already started creating interesting and free mods. Available on different platforms, such as Nexus Mods and Thunderstore, there are modifications that range from rebinding controls to expanding the player limit per lobby or removing fall damage.
