Microsoft now allows you to use Xbox games via the cloud outside of Game Pass! See list of compatible titles

Xbox Cloud Gaming is one of the great features available in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, being the only subscription level that allows members to play a list of titles that support the functionality. Originally, plans for this function were announced by Microsoft in June 2022. Now, last Wednesday (20), the North American giant has finally released the update that allows subscribers to play selected games not available on Game Pass through Xbox Cloud Gaming.

How gameplay via cloud games works outside of Xbox Game Pass

Currently, the resource is available for use on PC, cell phones, tablets and portable devices. Just like Game Pass cloud titles, just go to “Xbox.com/Play” in a browser like Microsoft Edge or Chrome and search for compatible games to use the function.

“This includes Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV devices, Meta Quest headsets, as well as other browser-enabled devices such as PCs, smartphones and tablets,” Microsoft said in a post on Xbox Wire last Wednesday.

Additionally, more games supporting cloud functionality will be added over time. Of course, the feature will also come to Xbox consoles and the Xbox PC app in 2025.

What games not available on Game Pass can be played on Xbox Cloud Gaming?

Games compatible with the new feature appear in a tab called “Stream your own game”, which brings a list of compatible titles. Additionally, the interface includes buttons for the Xbox store, allowing you to purchase titles you don’t own.

Titles supported at update launch include Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Final Fantasy XIV, Hogwarts Legacy, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Star Wars Outlaws, Warhammer 40.000: Space Marine 2 and many others.

The feature is available in all 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming is supported, including Brazil, and some titles require the use of the controller. Check out the complete list of 50 games that are not available on Game Pass and can now be played via the cloud:
