The Japanese company Shine has launched an incredible electronic safe inspired by the animated film Minions 2: The Rise of Gru, a spin-off of the Despicable Me series, directed by Kyle Balda in 2022.

The Minions: The Rise of Gru Airplane Electronic Coin Bank vault was inspired by the hilarious scene where minions Kevin, Stuart and Bob travel by plane to San Francisco.

The safe is shaped like the airport runway with a trailer car and the plane with the minions in the windows. How it works is simple: you place a coin on the top of the plane, press the tow car and the plane starts making takeoff noises, retracts the landing gear, the Minions inside start screaming and, when the plane takes off, the coin slides down and disappears inside the track/box.

The Minions: The Rise of Gru Airplane Electronic Coin Bank piggy bank uses two AA batteries and is officially licensed by Universal Studios. It is suitable for ages 6 and up, has a capacity of 40 coins (500 Japanese yen) and measures 175 mm by 109 mm by 95 mm.

The Minions: The Rise of Gru Airplane Electronic Coin Bank is priced at JPY3,520 at Plaza Japan or US$55 at Japan Trend Shop, which accepts international orders.
