Steam is a reference when we think about PC games and, among so many releases with varying prices, the platform also receives a selection of free games every week.
Of course, these experiences are not always complete, serving only as a demonstration of complete titles in the catalog. Still, it can be an opportunity to discover something new or have fun without much commitment in your free time.
According to a survey by SteamDB, which brings to light a lot of interesting data about Valve’s platform, more than 288 titles were released in the catalog in the last seven days alone. Thinking about it, the Voxel Here are six new free games coming to Steam this week for you to discover, redeem, and enjoy! Check them out:
Farmer Against Potatoes Idle
The games Idle are quite convenient on mobile devices, as they guarantee progress and rewards to players even when they are closed — justifying the name given to the genre. On Steam, there are also games in this line and one of them is Farmer Against Potatoes Idlewhich also features click-based mechanics to fight hordes of enemies.

The idea of the game is to take control of a farmer who, with progressive equipment and skills, must fight hordes of tubers in more than five worlds and nine different areas, according to the description. There is also a system of daily missions, achievements and challenges to engage users.
Mecha Simultactics Alpha
With a giant robot theme, Mecha Simultactics Alpha is a turn-based tactical RPG that is still in the Alpha stage of development, so there is still a lot that can change before its official release. The game draws attention with its pixel art visuals, which are very lively and nostalgic.

Users can expect multiple robot options and customization possibilities, as well as isometric battlefields with destructible terrain, map editors, online mode to face other players and even anime-inspired match replays. The full version does not yet have a release date.
California Adventures
California Adventures is also a farm-themed game, but this time with a more casual focus and strategy elements. In addition to taking care of your own crops and animals, the player can also collect resources to build a city. The story is set in the 19th century, during the California Gold Rush.

The game also features missions, secrets, and treasures to be collected. But the task of finding riches does not promise to be easy, since exploring nature has its risks. It seems to be an interesting game to pass the time, especially for those who enjoy farm and business simulators.
Bureau of Contacts: Mansion
Bureau of Contacts: Mansion is described as a limited version of the full experience, called simply Bureau of Contacts. The game seems to draw inspiration from titles like Phasmophobiabecause the loop gameplay involves finding clues, identifying ghosts and exorcising them.

During the investigation, the player can communicate with the ghost using a microphone or even text chat, helping to gather information so that the exorcism ritual can be successful. And of course, survival is also one of the objectives when dealing with such dangerous entities.
Just War Trains
Just War Trains is a game that doesn’t hold many secrets: the player controls heavily armed trains, which move on suspended tracks and must destroy the opposing locomotives. It is an online experience, still in the early stages of development, with support for up to 24 people.

In the current version, players can choose between four different types of trains with their respective abilities. Players must balance driving and precise aiming to gain an advantage. It’s a crazy idea, but one worth at least trying.
Bleeding Roots
And if you haven’t had your fill of farm games this week, Bleeding Roots is also free on Steam. Unlike the cute simulators, this one promises to be an atmospheric horror game, with a linear narrative and about fifteen minutes long.

The player must care for the plants in his garden throughout the seasons with the help of a rather suspicious botany book, which teaches an eccentric way of caring for one’s own harvest. The story promises to address themes such as loss, guilt and obsession, given that the protagonist is going through a difficult time in his personal life.
