Kotobukiya has put the third statue in its Bishoujo Star Trek Collection up for pre-order, featuring characters from the classic 1966 series reimagined in the “pretty girl” style by Japanese artist Shunya Yamashita.
The Medical Officer Bishoujo (Limited Edition) Statue captures an imaginary, female version of the USS Enterprise’s medical officer, a position held by Dr. McCoy in the series. The medical officer has an expressive smiling face with bright blonde hair styled in the classic beehive hairstyle that was popular during the original series.
The Medical Officer Bishoujo comes dressed in a blue mini-dress with a black collar, the United Federation of Planets insignia and gold details with a retro sci-fi aesthetic and holds in her hand a medical scanner that resembles the model that Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy used to use in his diagnostics. The base reproduces the surface of one of the planets in the series with rocks and sand.
The statue, in scale 1.7, was sculpted by artist ke (comaccow) using cutting-edge technology and based on an original illustration by Shunya Yamashita. The figure is made of PVC plastic and measures 22.8 cm tall. It is a limited edition and has been officially licensed by Paramount.
The Medical Officer Bishoujo (Limited Edition) Statue costs JP¥16,500 (US$108) for pre-order at Kotobukiya Shop Japan or at Sideshow Collectibles, which accepts orders from Brazil.
