On Steam, the cooperative shooter game has already arrived achieving great numbers. Launched last Tuesday (09) on Valve’s platform, Once Human has had more than 125 thousand simultaneous players, according to SteamDB — a truly impressive milestone considering the game has just been released. With a proposal quite similar to The First Descendanta free co-op shooter from Nexon that goes more along the lines of sci-fi, Once Human bets on fantasy in the best Lovecraft style. Despite the high number of players, the game has more than 5 thousand “neutral” reviews on Steam.
Once Human is set on a large island infected by a Lovecraftian alien plague called Stardust — which has transformed everything and everyone into monsters of all shapes and sizes. The good news for lovers of the artistic direction of Bloodborne is that the shooter’s enemies look like they came straight out of FromSoftware’s soulslike.

Here, you’ll play as a metahuman character who has somehow survived alien contamination — and you can do so either alone or in co-op with up to three friends.
And the plague has really taken over everything on this infected island — you, for example, will have your sanity reduced if you eat polluted food or drink dirty water. When this happens, your maximum HP will consequently decrease as well. To eat or not to eat, that’s a question!
Furthermore, Once Human has a respectable arsenal of around 100 weapon blueprints, divided into seven categories for you to collect and craft. It’s worth remembering that each of them also has its own advantages — so take this into account when completing the challenges.
