Funko has put on pre-sale the second Pop! Comic Cover set of the classic Star Wars comic books (1977) published by Marvel Comics between 1977 and 1986 with 107 issues in total.
The Darth Vader Star Wars 1977 Pop! Comic Cover Figure (#05) set comes with a reproduction of the cover of the Star Wars (1977) #48 comic book featuring the Sith Lord facing off against Princess Leia in an epic duel. Issue #48, written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Carmine Infantino, features the story “The Third Law” and was originally released on March 24, 1981.
The set also comes with a Darth Vader Pop! figure copying the cape with the same painting style, red lightsaber and special effect of the shot coming from Princess Leia’s blaster. The figure measures approximately 10.16 cm tall.
The set comes protected inside a clear, sealed acrylic box with the Lord Vader figure securely attached to the base. The box can be displayed on a shelf, tabletop or hung on a wall and measures 11″ (27.3 cm) high by 7″ (17.8 cm) wide by 3.2″ (8.24 cm) deep.
