Originally announced there at The Game Awards 2020, the reboot of Perfect Dark There hasn’t been much news in recent years — until now. The Initiative studio took to the stage at this Sunday’s Xbox Showcase (09) to reveal the game’s first intense gameplay trailer. The premiere date and platforms, however, were not revealed on this occasion.
The new Perfect Dark is a reboot of the classic, released for Nintendo 64 in 2000. The title is being developed by The Initiative in partnership with Crystal Dynamics — the same studio as the current games in the franchise Tomb Raider.
No gameplay trailer Perfect Dark, fans had the opportunity to see the new version of Joanna Dark. “The team of Perfect Dark took inspiration from elements from the first two games, but created an entirely new story and universe around them for this reboot,” said editor-in-chief of Xbox Wire, Joe Skrebels, on the Xbox Showcase stage. Perfect Dark is a first-person shooter with secret agents and will be a single-player experience with a certain number of missions.
One of the cool things about the game is that there will be options on how you complete the missions, as well as gadgets that can spice up the gameplay. In the trailer, for example, there is an item that analyzes NPC voices and creates fake voices to allow you to create distractions or bypass security systems. It looks very promising!
