Steam: Dreamcast classic sequel is only costing R$8

Shenmue 3 is the third chapter in SEGA’s RPG franchise which, for many, was the most significant of its last console, the Dreamcast. After years in development, the game was released for consoles and PCs in 2019, and is now on sale on Steam, costing just R$8.69 until October 5th.

And for those who don’t know the franchise, it is also possible to purchase the first two games in the series, in remastered versions, which were released in 2018. They are also for sale on Steam, however, so far they have a full price of R $109.99. Curiously, Shenmue 3 it became free on the competing platform, Epic Games, at the end of 2021, in the famous year-end promotions.

As previously stated, Shenmue is one of the most acclaimed role-playing games in history. In addition to helping to boost sales of the SEGA Dreamcast, the game marked the career of Yu Suzuki, the company’s producer also responsible for games such as OutRun, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Copbetween others.

In the game, you control young Ryo Hazuki, a martial arts fighter who tries to avenge his father’s death to criminals. To do this, he embarks on a journey, amidst mafia groups, and mystical elements that involve magical mirrors. In the third game, Ryo goes to the rural areas of Japan, looking for the Mirror of the Phoenix artifact, which was the main reason for his father’s murder.

The game also received an animation in 2022. It is exclusive to the Crunchyroll platform and has only one season, as the second was canceled while it was still in production.
