Chad Valley unveils new PlaySmart range

Chad Valley has launched a new PlaySmart range for children aged two to eight years old.

Designed to make learning fun, the 150 year old company has created a range of toys to help stimulate children’s imaginations and to develop key skills along the way.

The 19 toys will nurture children’s social and communication skills, and help them build confidence as they grow. With prices starting from £6.99, products range from a jumbo alphabet set through to colourful jigsaws.

The range includes an Early Skills Pack with brightly coloured animal characters, while the folding Interactive Magnetic Easel lets children create their own pictures using magnetic shapes and pens.

As well as being a source of fun, the range will supplement what children learn at school by expanding and helping to accelerate literacy, numbers and counting skills, hand-eye co-ordination, fine motor skills, colour and shape recognition, creativity, imagination, problem solving abilities and physical development.

Rob Quartermain, head of play at Chad Valley, said: “Chad Valley has long championed ‘the power of play’ in everything that we do and education is no exception. Each of the toys within the Chad Valley PlaySmart range uses play as a basis from which natural learning can take place. The packaging on the new products indicates which areas of development the toys will focus on, whether that is colour and shape recognition or their sense of discovery and curiosity.

"With half term just around the corner, we hope that kids and families across the country enjoy the variety of toys that Chad Valley’s PlaySmart range has to offer.”

The Chad Valley PlaySmart range, costing between £6.99 and £29.99, is available exclusively at Argos stores.
