The UK Games Expo is returning this year to encourage children and parents alike to put down their Xbox controllers or iPhones, and embrace the classic board game.
The annual exhibition of the latest non-electronic games will be opening its doors to over 5,000 visitors this year at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, NEC.
The event aims to introduce visitors to hundreds of new games, as well as offer them the chance to be crowned the UK board game Champion in the National Championships.
Board game fans, children and parents will be able to find the latest collection of card games, boardgames role playing games, miniature games and family games.
From Friday, May 30th to Sunday, June 1st, the exhibition will offer the newest game and releases on show, meet and greets with authors and artists, participation and demonstration games, costumed groups, seminars and space for Open Gaming and the largest Roleplaying Games schedule in the UK.
Furthermore, fans will get the chance to meet heroes of the gaming world, with special guests including Red Dwarf’s Chris Barrie, Material World presenter Quentin Copper as well as roleplaying veterans Monte Cook and Matt Leacock.
Adult tickets are priced from £9, a Family ticket is from £22 and under tens can get in for free.
