Hopes high for Linkee app

The new app version of Linkee launched on December 9th on iPhone, iPad and Android, and it is already being tipped for success in the UK app charts.

The Linkee app includes different levels featuring four questions, and the objective is to work out the Linkee between the answers.

"Linkee is one of those rare games that come along once in a while which you simply cannot stop playing," said Ben Redhead, buyer at Firebox.com.

"Linkee achieves the perfect balance of light-hearted entertainment and fun trivia that will get you screaming the Linkee at the top of your lungs when you find it.

"When the Linkee lads told me they were building an App, I knew it would be a cracker. Translating a physical game to an app is not easy, but the app is a brilliant translation of the game that captures the unique, fun Linkee vibes for the mobile world. We’re confident the app will be fighting it out at the top of the charts this Christmas."

The Linkee app has been developed by Ed Moyse, a 24-year-old tech entrepreneur who was watching BBC2 the night Linkee rejected Duncan Bannatyne’s offer of £50,000 on Dragons’ Den.

Moyse said: "I thought the Dragons were crazy not to invest in Linkee. I leapt at the opportunity to collaborate with Dean, Tris, and Ben, to show the Dragons how wrong they were."

Team Linkee’s Dean Tempest added: “A key element of Linkee is that we invite people to become part of our online community and help write questions. People from all over the world have already been participating, and we think Linkee is a better game as a result.”

There are plans to roll out the app worldwide in the near future.
