11-year-old war game still sells well on Steam! Meet Arma 3

Steam is full of great classics, including Arma 3 one of those precious gems in the catalog. Released in 2013 by Bohemia Interactive, the war game was popular there for a long time — and now it has once again come into the spotlight with the winter promotion of Valve’s platform.

According to a post made by the studio itself on the Steam blog, Arma 3 There were no less than 100,000 players purchasing the game on the first day of promotions alone. At the end of the bidding window, the war game had already sold no less than 500,000 units — a truly incredible milestone, considering that many titles struggle to maintain a prestigious position there these days.

“Welcome to the 500,000+ new recruits who have joined the Arma 3 during the Steam Summer Sale 2024 [promoção de inverno no Brasil]”, the studio welcomed in the publication. “Close to 100,000 of you joined us on the first day of sales alone — the most copies sold in a single day since the launch of the Alpha of Arma 3 in March 2013″.

Arma 3 has already been mistaken for reality due to its realism

Released in 2013 for PC (Steam), Arma 3 is a military simulation game set in a vast open world that stands out for its realistic and detailed approach to modern combat. The game is so strong in this aspect that it has even been mistaken for reality a few times: occasionally gameplay footage from the title is mistakenly used to depict real wars and create fake news.

Set in a fictional setting in the year 2035, the game offers a vast war experience in a diverse environment, including Mediterranean islands, dense forests and even arid deserts. Here, players can also engage in numerous military activities, from infantry and armored vehicle operations to aerial combat and submarine missions.
